Helping Chefs & Clients Find Freelance Temporary Work & Permanent Placements

Although you are self-employed, there are certain terms and conditions we ask for. You are working for yourself but not by yourself, as we are here to support you in the best way we can. If you are having problems receiving payment from any clients, we will support you by chasing up invoice payments on your behalf. We work hard to maintain good relationships with both clients and chefs.


Clients and chefs are very important to us, because, without you, we have no business.
It’s essential that you have a professional approach to your work and we have mutual respect. As a professional chef, you have a reputation to hold.


Please read and agree to the terms and conditions set out below


1) Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your assignment.


2) Your chef whites should be clean and ironed.


3) Have a full set of knives to avoid borrowing other chefs’ knives.

4) Be professional by demonstrating good hygiene practices. Dating and labeling and correct stock rotation and any other HACCP the client requires.


5) Good communication is essential to us. If for any reason you are unable to arrive or you will be late for your assignment you must let the client and us know as soon as possible. We will do our best to find a replacement. If you fail to turn up without notice and you have not informed us by phone or text, (not by email or social media) then you could be terminated from any further assignments unless there is a genuine reason for not attending.


6) Your behavior is a representation of weneedachef and yourself. Professional chefs should always maintain a calm and positive manner.


7) Please restrict the use of your phone until you take a break in accordance with the client’s rules.


8) Social Media and ConfidentialityUnder no circumstances should you photograph, film or divulge any operating, personnel or strategic procedures to any third parties. It is also strictly prohibited for you to be sharing such information on any social media platform.


9) Please do not criticize the operations of clients premises. If you find any failures in health and safety or HACCP issues, then please point them out to us and not to the client, and we will be able to raise the issues with the client.


10) Please remember that you are responsible for your own tax and contributions. you are also responsible for your own insurance should you damage or break anything whilst on assignment.


11) On your assignment, the client is responsible for your safety on their premises.

12) Please bring identification and certificates of hygiene and food allergen. Please also bring your insurance should the client request them.

13) If you have live-in accommodation please respect the client’s property by keeping it clean and tidy.

14) Please do not take alcohol or drugs onto a client’s premises as your assignment could be immediately terminated.

15) Please do not make the assumption that you are allowed to drink at the bar of any client’s establishment. Please seek permission from Management.

16) Theft of any property or criminal damage of any of the client’s property is an offense and you may be prosecuted.

17) On the completion of your assignment it is important to note that you will not be able to return to the same establishment for 12 months without the prior notification to weneedachef. Not for temporary work or permanent roles. This has been agreed with our clients under the terms and conditions.
